Rob MacMathan and his brother and a friend run the White Bear Wilderness Adventures Tour, White Bear, where polar bear shifters have staked a claim. This is their last tour group of the season, but when photojournalist, Alicia Raycroft, touches Rob and envisions what he sees, though her paranormal abilities deal with psychometry, whereas he’s clairvoyant, they’re both stunned. He witnesses a fight with an enraged grizzly; she sees a polar trying to eat her, which he interprets to mean he’s wearing his polar bear coat and trying to save her. In no way can he reveal the truth to her. Yet, just that connection between them pushes them to go beyond his self-imposed boundaries with both a client and a human.
Alicia is fascinated with Rob, not only because he’s rugged and handsome and just as interested in her, he intrigues her like no other man has ever done when her touching him reveals he has abilities like she has. She envisions a white bear coming for her as snow swirls about her in the Alaskan wilderness, yet she’s determined to take this trek even if it’s her last. She believes fate is predetermined and nothing she will do can change the outcome anyway. Alicia and Rob are already headed down one dangerous path, so why not risk a chance at love too? Only he has more dark secrets he’s unwilling to share.

Having read Terry Spear's other shifter (cougars, jaguars, and wolves) stories, I didn't hesitate in getting "Loving the White Bear" and was really looking forward to reading it. Polar Bear shifter Rob MacMathan runs White Bear Wilderness Adventures Tours along with his brother and a friend. They're taking out the last tour group of the season which includes Alicia Raycroft and her best friend, Beth.Alicia and Rob are drawn to each other and unbeknownst to each other, they're both psychic. Rob has visions of future events while Beth can see past events when touching an object or person. However, when Alicia touches Rob she sees what he sees. In the vision she sees herself being "eaten" by a polar bear while in the frozen water during a snow storm which puts her and Rob on alert. While on the tour, three men who are hunting illegally frighten a herd of moose when trying to kill one. In the aftermath of trying to evade the moose one of the other tourists knocks Alicia into the icy water. When Rob sees her there's only one way to save her. He has to rescue her as a polar bear and turn her because she's been in the water too long and they couldn't get her warmed up in time to save her. As an added bonus, now that Alicia's a bear, Rob can explore his feelings for her.
"Loving the White Bear" runs a gamut of emotions and Terry does each of them excellently. I cheered for Rob and Alicia, teared up in places and laughed in others. Terry's written a wonderful story that draws you in from the beginning and keeps your interest throughout the story. There's also a surprise when someone from both Rob's and Alicia's past turns out to be the same person. I thoroughly enjoyed reading "Loving the White Bear" and highly recommend it.

Loving the White Bear edition by Terry Spear Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
First book in the bear series, and another good story by Terry Spear. I enjoy all of her stories.
Good Book
Loved it
Who doesn't love a cuddly bear story with a twist. Nothing goes easy for this pair, they find one challenge after another. Yes, live does conquer all.
The bonus, many more alpha polar bears to come.
Good action, great characters, always interesting plot. Love the community of diverse shifters in this story.
Alicia is a photographer and Rob is a tour guide. Life gets crazy when she takes his tour. Good read
I've enjoyed many other books by Terry Spear and was looking forward to this book. However, I thought the characters were not very well "fleshed" out. Furthermore they were written with saint-like qualities. I found Alishia's total immediate acceptance of her fate rather simplistic. It was hard for me to finish this book.
